You are right.
Prostate enlargement or BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) is the most common type of prostate problem. The symptoms of BPH are:
- increased urinary frequency
- increased nocturia (urination at night)
- weakening of the urine stream
- intermittency of the urine stream
- straining to start urination
- incomplete bladder emptying
Some men may experience symptoms, but believe that they are an inevitable part of aging.
Unfortunately, many cases of BPH go undiagnosed because men are reluctant to discuss their symptoms with their health care professsional. Men should consult their doctor if they are experiencing symptoms of BPH for a full diagnosis and advice.
