If you're over 50, there is a 50/50 chance you'll have prostate enlargement. You should talk to your doctor if you have the following symptoms:
your urinary flow is weak
won't start
stops and starts
happens too often during the night
But there is something you should know.
The typical western diet is low in isoflavones (which come from legumes such as peas, beans and chickpeas) that may help maintain a healthy prostate. Trinovin contains 40mg of isoflavones and just one tablet a day may help reduce the symptoms of an enlarged prostate, including the number of times you go at night and the weak flow during the day.
1. Have you noticed weakening of the urine stream?
2. The urine flow stops and starts?
3. A feeling that the bladder is not completely empty after you have finished?
4. You have to push or strain to begin urination?
5. You need to get up at night to urinate more often?
6. You have to urinate again less than 2 hours after your last urination?
7. It is more difficult to delay urination?
If you have noticed an increase in these symptoms, you may have prostate enlargement (BPH). Please talk to your doctor about diagnosis and treatment.

Frequently asked questions
· What is the formulation of Trinovin?
Trinovin is formulated from red clover (biological name Trifolium pratense). As well as being an approved foodstuff, red clover is a legume that is one of the richest sources of isoflavones found in nature. Red clover contains all four of the most important isoflavones that are present in Asian, Mediterranean and Latin American diets, namely biochanin A, formononetin, daidzein and genistein. Trinovin is standardised to contain 40mg of isoflavones.
· How long does it take to work and what will I feel after taking Trinovin?
The positive effect of Trinovin depends on the individual's underlying problem and the response to any dietary intervention may take some time. Trinovin may assist relieving the symptoms of medically diagnosed BPH, such as urinary frequency, urination at night, weak or broken stream and straining to urinate. Ensuring adequate levels of isoflavones in the diet is one long-term approach to ensuring healthy and normal function.
· Is Trinovin well-tolerated?
Trinovin contains isoflavone plant compounds that are normal dietary constituents which can be found in legumes. Dietary legumes such as chick peas, soy, lentils and many varieties of beans may contain the isoflavones found in Trinovin. The average Western diet already contains between 2 and 5 mg of isoflavones each day. Men in Eastern communities have had diets that are high in isoflavone content for many years. These men enjoy normal prostate function for longer than men living in Western countries who don't have such a high isoflavone content in their diet.
· Who makes Trinovin?
Novogen Consumer Healthcare, the company responsible for developing Trinovin, is proudly Australian. It markets its products in many countries around the world and is a world leader in isoflavone research. In addition to consumer products, Novogen also has a very active pharmaceutical research and development division developing a range of therapeutics for a variety of ailments some of which are currently in clinical trials.
Men on traditional Asian, Mediterranean and Latin diets, are far more likely to maintain normal prostate health throughout their life when compared to men in typical 'western' cultures. 2
Foods from the legume family, such as red clover, chickpeas, beans and lentils, are consumed in far greater quantities in Eastern and traditional diets. These foods are rich in isoflavones, thought to be responsible for the maintenance of the good health in men from these communities. 3,4
As Western diets do not contain significant amounts of isoflavone-rich legumes, supplementation of the diet is an option. Changing the diet to incorporate lentils, chick peas and beans is possible, however many find eating a large amount of these foods difficult.
How Isoflavones work
Isoflavones can modulate chemical pathways involved in maintaining normal function and health in the prostate. 3
Prostate enlargement is thought to be caused by excessive amounts of two hormones, estradiol and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the prostate.
Estradiol is produced from testosterone by the enzyme aromatase.
DHT is produced from testosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. DHT is a potent form of testosterone and binds to receptors in the prostate resulting in prostate enlargement.
